Broom, LLC (“Broom,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the website heybroom.com and the application at app.heybroom.com (collectively, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address, phone number, and name. If you are a cleaning business owner, we also collect your business name, service area, and service offerings.

Communication Data: We process phone calls handled by our AI receptionist, including call recordings, transcripts, and caller phone numbers. This data is used to provide scheduling, quoting, and customer service on behalf of your business.

Usage Data: We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, and timestamps.

Payment Information: Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers. We receive transaction identifiers and payment status from Stripe.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and operate the Service, including AI-powered call handling, scheduling, quoting, and invoicing
  • To authenticate your identity via one-time passwords (OTP) sent by SMS or email
  • To communicate with you about your account, updates, and support requests
  • To improve and develop new features for the Service
  • To comply with legal obligations

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

  • Service Providers: Twilio (SMS/voice), Resend (email), Stripe (payments), Vapi (AI voice), and Google Cloud Platform (hosting/database) process data on our behalf under contractual obligations.
  • Your Cleaning Business Clients: If you are a business owner, your customers' appointment and contact data is accessible through your account.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or legal process.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted database connections (SSL/TLS), secure password hashing, and access controls. Our database is hosted on Google Cloud SQL with encryption at rest and in transit. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Call recordings and transcripts are retained for 90 days unless you request earlier deletion. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@heybroom.com.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (session tokens). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
